Is there anything else which can be done as the client dont want to upgrade it. It seems windows7 is ignoring config.nt file. But when I run application using dosbox I am getting "Too many files open" error. I created one config.nt in the folder c:\windows\system32 wherein I have a line, files=200. I tried dosbox & found it better, now the problem is file setting in config.nt file. I have already tried virtual pc, it is very slow.

If my games are held in my external sdcard (like they were on my older device) and the dosbox folder holding the CONF files in the tablet storage, does this cause a problem - even if I do manage to alter the config location on new device, wont the CONF files all still hold the original location from my older device? Can that be changed? I also noticed when I put the card in it changed from mnt/extSdcard to storage/extSdcard - I see you touch on this below. I wonder if it is because DosBox manaager has updated on my newer device? I am sure the config location option was not even there. I am sure this did not happen on my other newer tablet, but I may be wrong.

I am using my older one now and noticed when I select Manual Mode the config location underneath highlights so you can change it. I am at my Girlfriends now so will try tomorrow at my Parents where my new tablet is. If you have DM 2.1.15a that has some option to backup to cloud, I haven't tried it, I'm still on 2.1.2.

Basically you will have to root both your old and new tablet to manually backup and restore the database and related xml files from the following locations: conf files to your sdcard the actual database and individual xml setup files are saved to the phone's system and require root to access them. It's a pain in the ass to setup initially but once you do it makes life easier when it comes to launching DOS titles in DOSBOX Turbo.
